Editorial policy

getvolo.co is published by the makers of the Volo app. This page explains how the comparison, guide and article pages on it are made, so you can judge how much weight to give them.

What our comparisons are based on

Every app in a comparison is installed and used by the author before the page is written, not just the ones at the top. The author works through the onboarding, the free tier or trial, and the main features the page describes, then checks what they saw against the provider's own website, App Store or Google Play listing, pricing page and help pages. Where the two differ, the page describes what the app actually does. Courses and in-person programmes that cannot be installed are compared on their published curriculum, format and price. Where a page cites research, it links to the study or to a summary that names the source.

Every comparison page ends with a Sources block listing the pages we checked for each app, with the date they were checked.

Who writes and checks the pages

Each page carries a named author. The author is responsible for testing every app and checking every claim on the page against the sources before it is published, and for repeating that check whenever the page is updated.

What the dates mean

Every page shows an Updated date. We change it only when the page's content has materially changed: a feature re-checked, a price or platform corrected, an app added or removed, a section rewritten. We do not change the date to make a page look newer. The same date appears in the page's structured data and in our sitemap.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools for research, outlining and drafting. We do not publish raw AI output. The named author reads the whole page, checks each factual claim against the sources, and edits the wording before it goes live.

Links to other apps

Comparison pages link to each app's own website or store listing so readers can verify what we describe. These are plain links; no one pays to be included, ranked or linked. Volo appears in comparisons on this site because it is our app and the site exists to explain it; where it is listed, each page also states a real limitation of Volo so the comparison is usable.

Corrections

Apps change often. If a feature, price or platform on any page is out of date or wrong, email hello@getvolo.co. We check the claim against the provider's current pages, fix it, and update the page's date.
